Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills added a new weapon for quarterback Josh Allen and the offense with their 2023 first-round pick, moving up two spots in the draft order to select tight end Dalton Kincaid.
In his final year at the University of Utah, Kincaid was an All-Pac 12 First-Team member after reeling in 70 catches for 890 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. That production helped Kincaid climb the rankings and earn himself a chance to go in the first round of the draft.

But how will Kincaid factor into the equation with the Bills now that he will be working alongside Dawson Knox in the tight ends room? What does Kincaid bring to the table for Buffalo going forward?
Josh Furlong covers Utah football for KSL.com, and says Kincaid has a great catch radius to his arsenal.
“He’s just an incredible athlete that is able to really just be any fixture that you need,” said Furlong on Friday during an appearance on the "Extra Point Show" on WGR.
As for his long-term projection at the NFL level, Furlong can see Kincaid being similar to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, where he can be put in multiple spots on the field.
“He’s going to be able to be wherever you need him to be in the versatile receiver type role,” Fulong said with Sal Capaccio and Joe DiBiase.
Bills general manager Brandon Beane compared Kincaid to Cole Beasley on Thursday night, in terms of being an underneath slot receiver. Furlong feels Kincaid would be a perfect fit in that type of role with the Bills going forward.
