St. Louis, Missouri (WGR Sports Radio 550) - It's the penultimate game of the calendar year for the Buffalo Sabres. Inside Enterprise Center, the blue and gold are facing the St. Louis Blues with a ninth-consecutive win at stake.

The Sabres opened the scoring early in this one, as Josh Norris got the offense rolling with a clutch steal of the puck. Quickly, he located Noah Ostlund to make it 1-0 Buffalo just 2:19 in.

St. Louis answered quickly, though, as veteran forward Brayden Schenn quickly brought the game back to square one. Schenn's eighth goal of 2025-26 made it 1-1.

Almost exactly three-minutes later, the Blues went to the well once more. The home side grabbed its first lead of the young game when forward Jimmy Snuggerud potted his sixth goal of the campaign to make it 2-1.

Late in the second period, Alex Tuch made good on a prior reversal. After being denied for a kicking motion on an earlier goal of his, Tuch wired his 12th goal of the season to tie the score at long last.

1:46 into the third, the Sabres took the lead back thanks to an entire effort from the line of Ryan McLeod, Jack Quinn and Zach Benson.

From the left corner, McLeod's centering pass was settled ever-so slightly by Quinn. Thanks to Quinn knocking the puck down, Benson was able to ram home his fourth goal to give the blue and gold a 3-2 edge.
