A hearing is set for this morning in Washington DC on the paper shortage at several polling places in Luzerne County during the general election this past November 8th . Attending the hearing and planning to speak out on the incident is Jim Bognet. He was a Republican candidate in the election running against Democratic incumbent Congressman Matt Cartwright. He was invited to attend the hearing being held by The Committee on House Administration. Several citizens from Luzerne County will also testify. The committee is looking into what caused the paper shortage which in turn left long lines for voters to cast their ballots, extended poll hours into the evening and raised allegations that some were unable to cast their ballots. Three county officials declined to attend because of the ongoing investigation into the matter by Luzerne County District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce. The hearing will be livestreamed on the YouTube page of the Committee on House Administration beginning at 10:30.
