NEPA school closing due to mold concerns

A Luzerne County school district has closed one of its buildings after a suspected mold discovery. At a school board meeting Tuesday, school officials confirmed that mold was detected in the lower level of the Wyoming Area Intermediate Unit in West Pittston, and the cleanup should not interrupt the start of the school year. The remediation process to remove the mold from the school building will take 12 to 14 days.
