The 26th Annual Connecticut Renaissance Faire has 2 weekends left through October 20th at the Lebanon Fair Grounds and boasts Fire eaters, Birds of Prey, Jousters, Comedy and Theater Troupes, Axe Throwing, Henna Tattoos, and food are just part of the fun! Asbury United Methodist Church Community Day is Saturday 10am to 2pm, 90 Church Ave in Forestville.  Take part in the blessing of animals 10a-n.  Drop off donations of animal supplies to benefit the Bristol Animal Shelter.  There will also be an Auto Trunk Outdoor Tag Sale, a lunch, bake sale and they will be collecting cans, bottles and clothing!

Kick off the season in style! UConn Fan-Fest presented by Basketball Hall of Fame is Sunday at Mohegan Sun’s Earth Ballroom from 3:00pm-5:00pm. Play fun games and take part in hands-on activities, while snacking on free popcorn and listening to high-energy music by DJ Meechie!  Get up close with your favorite players for a Meet & Greet and photo opportunity with the 2024 UConn Men’s Basketball Team! Haunting at the Ridge, Powder Ridge Mountain Park and Resort in Middlefield. Billed as the “Most Unique Haunt in New England,” Haunting at the Ridge turns the typically serene mountain park and resort into a sprawling nightmare, with haunting forces lurking along the trails and chair lifts. Starting with a spine-chilling chair lift ride in the dark through the Valley of the Giants, guests will then descend on foot, facing the terrors that haunt the mountain at night. Among the expanded features include a haunted pumpkin patch, a witches' coven, and a campground to welcome visitors. Also new this year is a reward to those who make it down the mountain — the Zombie Lounge.
The Zombie Lounge offers a relaxing setting with music, entertainment, fire pits, and refreshments. Haunting at the Ridge also features family-friendly sessions and Zombie Hunt Glow in the Dark Paintball. A number of packages are available, including general admission, family packs, group packages, and a VIP experience. Guests also have the option to purchase tickets solely for the Zombie Lounge. Every weekend, Friday through Sunday from Sept. 27 to Oct. 27. The Adventure Park at Storrs offers Glow in the Park, its signature nighttime event, on Saturdays through November 23, 2024.  Glow in the Park events are a highly popular and unique way to experience the Park with ziplining and climbing through an illuminated forest. Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Parlor on Route 4 in Farmington is open for the Fall (weather permitting) Golf: Monday through Thursday 11am to 8:30pm, Friday and Saturday 10am to 9:30pm and Sunday 10am to 8:30pm.  Ice Cream Parlor opens and closes a half an hour later.

Farmer’s Markets:

Ellington host their Farmer’s Markets Saturdays 9am to noon through October.  72 Maple St.   Start your day with a delicious breakfast from a food truck, then grab a chair and relax to the sounds of free live music. Kids of all ages are invited to join in the fun with our weekly themes and family-friendly activities. With over 40 vendors offering a bounty of CT Grown produce, meat, dairy, and eggs, as well as locally caught seafood, fresh baked goods, and a diverse array of prepared foods, there's something to delight every palate.

Saturday is Wallingford Garden Market day at Doolittle Park, 78 S Main St, Wallingford 10a – 1p!  Shop Local with many local vendors including Anna’s Lemonade! (Markets are rain or shine)

Coventry Farmers’ Market takes place Sundays until October 27, 10 am to 1 pm at the grounds of the Nathan Hale Homestead located at 2299 South Street.  Each week has its own theme and sampling takes place in the tasting barn.  This week it’s a Holiday Market!

Stonington Farmers Market, Saturday 9am-12noon, in the North end parking lot of the Velvet Mill, 23 Bayview, Stonington.
