HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut building maintenance workers reached an agreement on a new contract over the weekend.
The union representing hundreds of janitors reached the agreement after they voted to avoid a strike, according to local 32BJ.
Those votes, they say, were held in Hartford, New Haven and New Britain.
The four-year deal includes wage hikes and protects employer paid health insurance.
Twenty-four hundred workers are involved in the agreement and are responsible for 170 properties which include insurance company headquarters, malls and factories.
