(Hartford, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-Steps have been taken by the Biden Administration to free $3.5 billion in assets to help the families of victims who died in the Sept. 11. 2001 attack on the World Trade Center.

Brett Eagleson was in high school, living in Durham when the attack claimed the life of his father. Bruce Eagleson normally worked at the Westfield Mall in Meriden but visited the parent company on the seventeenth floor of the South Tower when the attack occurred.

"Here we are 21 years later and our FBI, CIA and our government still has documents and files. We deserve answers and waiting too long for the truth. We were successful in getting President Biden to do an executive order, which is forcing the declassification of documents for the FBI and CIA as we speak," he said.

"Everyone's death should receive the same value. So, there's more to come on those details. I haven't heard anything from the White House yet. No one has seen a statement on how those funds will be distributed," Eagleson said.

Eagleson said files show Saudi Aabia was behind the terrorist network that caused the attack.
