Some tweaks are needed, says Connecticut's department of transportation, when it comes to mass transit across the state.
The department has an array of proposed changes in mind, and has been holding hearings to get public feedback.
CT DOT's Benjamin Limmer says riders could see some bus routes get removed. But he says that is being offset by the consolidation of
bus routes.
He wants to add some bus routes, too, inclusing one in the CT transit Hartford division and two in the New Haven division.
For still other bus routes, the department plans some restructuring to match current needs.
And it says says is a demand for more service at night and on the weekends.
