Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Hartford are investigating after a dirt bike operator collided with a school bus Wednesday at a city intersection.
According to police, the rider of the dirt bike traveling along Tower Avenue east collided with the school bus as it made a left turn from Barbour Street north.
A preliminary investigation showed the school bus was proceeding through a green light at the time while the bike operator failed to stop for a red light.
There were no children aboard the bus and the driver was not injured.
The dirt bike rider was taken to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
