Bad enough that one of the kids at the Allgrove Elementary shows up at the school in East Granby packing two handguns. Even worse, complain some parents, is how the school dealt with it.
At a Board of Education meeting Monday night, they demanded to know why there was no lockdown. A lockdown was not needed, answered one official,
because the situation had been resolved quickly.
But parents are also upset with state police, for not telling them for hours that a child had come to school fully armed.
The police plan to keep a presence at the school for rest of the week.
