NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Commuters looking to head south of New Haven on Amtrak or Metro North are going to run into problems for the Friday morning commute.
Repairs to downed power lines in Westport are causing serious delays or cancellations.
Amtrak service from New Haven to New York Grand Central Station is suspended.
Some Metro North service, at least to the Greens Farms section of Westport, is suspended.
Bus service is being offered locally to bypass trains that aren't running.
There's no word on when repairs may be completed.
If you're planning to take the train this morning to reach your destination, commuters are asked to check directly with Amtrak or Metro North.
