HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The City of Hartford announced is opening its cooling centers for residents beginning at noon on Tuesday.
The centers will close at 8 p.m. Thursday, September 7th, in accordance with Governor Lamont's hot weather protocol.
“Although September has arrived, the summer's hot weather is still with us. Once again, we will be opening our cooling centers at library branches throughout the city to help our residents stay safe and cool,” said Mayor Luke Bronin in a statement.
