The new policy puts in place guidelines for schools to address the needs lof
transgender and gender non conforming students. That means means a number
of changes. Like: students can choose to be addressed by the pronoun that
corresponds to their gender identity. Students will have the option of deciding which
restroom best matches their gender identity. Which physical education class they take.
As for schools with dress codes, students now have a right to dress in a manner consistent
with their gender expression.
