This began when a New Britain, CT, police cruiser tried to pull over a vehicle. As the police tell it,
the vehicle then went into reverse and the driver rammed into the cruiser. The driver then
split -- speeding off on Rouite Nine north. Police went into pursuit, but lost sight of the vehicle. But then
they say an officer found the driver in the bathroom of a Newington gas station -- allegedly trying to flush
a stolen gun.
