
Enfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - A woman involved in a crash nearly two years ago that left her infant son dead is now facing charges.
State police say Fansheska Stuart, 30, was under the influence of alcohol and cocaine early on the morning of December 10, 2023 when she crashed her vehicle on the southbound side of Interstate 91 exit 45 in Enfield.
According to an arrest warrant, Stuart was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle, which flipped on its side.
Stuart's son, Isiah Ortiz was killed.
Police say he was not properly secured in his car seat.
Stuart's blood alcohol level was at .12.
She now faces charges of manslaughter with a motor vehicle, DUI, reckless driving and other offenses.
Stuart is being held on bonds totaling $375,000.
