NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A New Haven man was listed in critical condition at the hospital after suffering life-threatening gun shot wounds Thursday morning.
According to New Haven police, the department received multiple calls around 11:37 a.m. about a person who was shot on Ferry Street between Peck and English Streets.
The victim was a 31-year-old man, police said. A private vehicle transported him to Yale New Haven hospital before officers arrived, they said.
Officers also located a crime scene on Ferry Street where, police said, they collected ballistic evidence.
Major Crimes Unit detectives are leading the investigation.
