HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Assistant Republican Senate Leader Dan Champagne (R-Vernon) announced on Friday that he will not seek re-election this November.

“It has been my honor to represent the people of the 35th District and I thank them for trusting me to be their voice in Hartford for the past four years,” said Champagne, who was first elected to the seat in the northwest part of the state in 2018. "With that said, it is now time for me to move on to spend more time with my family."
