
SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A bridge in Southington is renamed in honor of fallen State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier.
The dedication ceremony will rename the Jude Lane overpass on I-84 in his honor.
Trooper Pelletier was struck and killed during a traffic stop on I-84 in 2024.
Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz will lead the ceremony with State Police and various other officials.
The man who struck Trooper Pelletier kept driving away from the scene of the crash but was arrested several miles down the highway and was ultimately sent to prison for 18 years.
