WOODBRIDGE, CONN. (WTIC Radio)-Police have arrested a Woodbridge man for allegedly shooting a woman at his Raymond Street residence.
Police responded Thursday night just before eight, finding a female and child outside, the home. The woman was shot in the head and the infant was uninjured. The female was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect remained in the home, refusing to exit. After assistance provided by CT State Police, New Haven and Seymour Police, the man left the home and was taken into custody.
Raymond Sosa, 49, faces assault, risk of injury to a minor, criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and other weapon-related charges.
Sosa faces arraignment today.
