Two brothers arrested in Guilford hate crime

GUILFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Guilford Police arrest two brothers who allegedly damaged a Chanukah menorah on the Guilford Town Green.

The investigation, which began on January 13, led police to Steven Prinz, Junior, 25, and Troy Prinz, 22. Both men are from Guilford.


Security footage showed these suspects knock down and then stomp on the menorah, breaking several components of it, before fleeing the scene.

One of the suspects had a gas mask while the other wrapped a garment around his face.

Both are charged with second-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias, second-degree conspiracy to commit intimidation based on bigotry or bias, first-degree criminal mischief, and first-degree conspiracy to commit criminal mischief.

Their bonds are $25,000.
