LAS VEGAS (WWJ/AP) - Prosecutors have dropped most charges against a 24-year-old Detroit man accused of firing a gunshot that caused a panicked Memorial Day evacuation at a Las Vegas Strip shopping mall.

Hasean Quinn remains in custody following the incident Monday at the Fashion Show mall -- which isn't far from where 58 people died in the October 2017 mass shooting at a country music festival.

On Friday, 13 counts of assault with a weapon were dropped and a judge reduced bail to from $136,000 to $25,000. Quinn still faces charges of firing a shot in a structure and concealed weapon without a permit.

Quinn's attorney, Lisa Rasmussen, said outside court he'll plead not guilty but she hopes to resolve the case before trial.

A single shot was fired during the May 27 incident, which caused "pandemonium" and prompted an evacuation at the mall. No one was injured.

Exact details of the shooting haven't been released, though reports indicate it happened as a fight was breaking up.

Several police dressed in tactical gear responded to the mall as panicked shoppers fled the scene.
