(WWJ) Detroit police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate two suspects wanted in a carjacking on the city's west side.
At around 8:45 p.m on Sunday, Aug. 23, the 20-year-old victim was putting air in his tire at a gas station in the 18100 block of West Chicago, near Southfield Rd., when a black sedan occupied by four people pulled up beside him.
Two men got out of the car and approached the victim, as one of them pulled out a rifle and demanded the victim's keys.
The victim complied, and one of the suspects drove away in the victim's car, a black 2009 Chrysler 300 with a silver front bumper. The other suspect got back into the black sedan, which also fled the scene.
Suspect 1, seen on surveillance video, is described as a black male, 19 to 25 years old, with dark complexion and hair in an afro style. He is around 5'8" tall, weighs 130 to 160 lbs., and was wearing all black.
Suspect 2, also caught on video, is described as a black male, 19 to 25 years old, with light complexion. He is 5'7" to 5'10" tall and weighs 180 to 200 lbs. He was wearing all black and was armed with a black AR-15.
