(WWJ) Ferndale police are asking for the public's help to identify and locate a man wanted in an armed robbery at a local liquor store.
According to investigators, the suspect, who was caught on security camera, walked into the business just before 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21.
He then "committed a retail fraud," police said.
When a store clerk confronted him about the theft, the robber allegedly pointed a handgun at the employee.
The suspect then fled the area in a white Subaru, also captured in surveillance footage.
Police did not release the name of the store, and they didn't say what was stolen.
No one was injured.
As the investigation continues, police on Tuesday released photos of the man, as well as the suspect vehicle, in hopes that someone can ID him.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the Ferndale Police Department at 248-541-3650
