PORT HURON (WWJ) - A Port Huron teenager is facing several criminal charges involving sex crimes against children.
Clayton Allen Ellis, 19, was arraigned Wednesday in 72nd District Court on three counts of possession of child sexually abusive materials, one count of child sexually abusive activity and one count of using a computer to commit a crime.
Michigan State Police say Ellis was arrested following an investigation in which digital evidence was seized from his home.
The investigation was initiated when officers learned that Ellis was allegedly sharing child sexually abusive materials on the internet, according to police. Following a forensic examination of the digital evidence, Ellis was charged.
It's unknown when Ellis is due to appear next in court.
