(WWJ) - Open wide Taco Bell fans, because their newest menu item is a big one.
The fast-food giant is serving up what it calls a "hands on experience" with the new Triplelupa, combining three mini chalupas to create the longest shell in Taco Bell history, at a whopping 9.25 inches.
Taco Bell says the Triplelupa takes all elements of the Chalupa to the next level with double the seasoned beef and different flavors in each of its mini shells: Nacho Cheese on one end, Chipotle on the other, and a combination of the two, Cheesy Chipotle, in the middle.
The Triplelupa starts at $3.49 and is available for a limited time at participating restaurants starting March 12.
Editor's note: This article earlier erroniously stated that the shell will be 11 inches long. It has been edited to relfect that the version of the Triplelupa to be made available nationwide beginning March 12 will in fact be 9.25 inches, based on updated information.
