DETROIT (WWJ) – A child who went missing during Wednesday's big is storm has been found safe.
Detroit police had asked for the community's help finding 11-year-old girl Arleyah Mullen, who was reported last seen around 8 p.m. at her family's home on Willis Street, near the Eastern Market area.
Temperatures dropped below freezing that night as an ice storm swept across the area, leaving hundreds of thousands without power.
Authorities said Arleyah left home without permission, and did not return.
Late Friday afternoon, police sent an update saying Arleyah had been recovered and is doing fine.
It's not clear where she went. No further information was released.
