13-year-old girl missing since she left for school Thursday morning on Detroit's west side

This is the second time this teen has gone missing in the last two weeks

DETROIT (WWJ) -- The Detroit Police Department has put out a call for tips in the case of a 13-year-old girl who has gone missing for a second time in as many weeks.

Rayne Dunbar was reported last seen on Thursday, October 20, at her home in the 19100 block of Stansbury, in the area of 7 Mile Rd. and the Lodge Freeway on the city's west side.


Police said the teen left the house to go to school at around 6:30 a.m., and did not return home.

Previously, police said Dunbar was missing after she left her home without permission on Saturday, Oct. 15. She was recovered, police said, before disappearing once again just days later.

Dunbar is described as a Black female, 5'2'' tall and weighing around 130 lbs. She has brown eyes, and black hair styled in short layered braids

She was last seen wearing a green Ninja Turtles hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black Crocs shoes.

According to her mother, the teen lives with bi-polar disorder and depression.
