(WWJ) Two suspects accused in the slaying of a 7-year-old girl in Detroit are facing charges, while one of them remains on the loose.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office announced it has filed premeditated murder and weapons charges against 19-year old Emmett Williams, Jr. of Detroit and 22-year old Christion Mitchell-Childress of Southfield.
Investigators say the men drove down Bedford Street late last month and fired shots into the home of Reginae Williams, as she slept on the sofa in the living room. The child, who was shot in the back of the head, died in the hospital.

Williams was arraigned in 36th District Court Thursday morning on one count of First Degree Murder, one count of Discharge of a Firearm at a Building Causing Death, one count of Discharge of a Weapon from a Motor Vehicle Causing Death, and three counts of Felony Firearm. He was remanded to jail without bond.
Mitchell-Childress remained at large as of Thursday afternoon.
Anyone who has seen this wanted man or who knows of his whereabouts is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Homicide Unit at 313-596-2260, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-Speak Up (1-800-773-2587). As always, all calls to Crime Stoppers are 100% anonymous.
A motive for the shooting has not been released.
