SHELBY TWP., Mich. (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway after a stabbing in Shelby Township left two men dead and a woman in critical condition.
Police and fire units were called to a home on Woodall Street near Auburn Road around 8 a.m. Sunday after a 911 call reporting three people had been stabbed.
When authorities arrived, they heard a woman screaming inside the home and forced entry into the home.
When officers were inside they found three victims who had been stabbed multiple times – a 40-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene, a 63-year-old man who died at the hospital and a 62-year-old woman who is said to be in critical but stable condition after undergoing surgery.
No other people were found inside the home.
Police have not said what may have led to the stabbing or if there are any suspects in the case, but did say they do not believe there is any danger to the public.
