INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP (WWJ) A single-vehicle crash in Oakland County killed a young Pontiac man.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened on Sunday, August 30, around 2:00 a.m. on Dixie near Maybee Road.

Investigators say the driver of a luxury sports car (2010 Nissan GT-R) lost control of his vehicle while traveling south on Dixie Highway.

The car crossed the northbound lanes and struck a curb. It rolled over and ejected the driver.

Deputies and first responders arrived and attempted life-saving measures to no avail. They pronounced him dead at the scene.

According to investigators, he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. It's unclear if alcohol factored into the crash, but they believe excessive speed played a role.

Sheriff's officials identified the driver as Jeffrey Alejandro Euceda-Cruz. He was only 24 years old.
