(WWJ) Three people are facing charges in connection with a failed carjacking in St. Clair Shores.
According to St. Clair Shores Police, it happened at around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the driveway of the victim's home on Yale Street, just south of 11 Mile Rd., near Little Mack Ave.
The victim told police he was pulling in when a white vehicle stopped in the street, and a man armed with long gun got out, approached, and demanded that the victim hand over his keys.
The victim dropped the keys on the ground and took off running, police said, escaping without injury.
The suspects, however, were unable start the victim's car, and fled the scene without it.
The victim called 911, described the suspects, and police quickly located the suspect vehicle.
A chase ensured into Detroit, where the suspects struck some debris in the road and their car was disabled police said.
Three people — a Roseville man, a Deckerville man and a juvenile from Detroit — were all arrested without further incident.
Expected charges are pending.
