DETROIT (WWJ) -- A 7-year-old boy is in the hospital after shots were fired into a home on Detroit's west side over the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Detroit Police Department confirmed that the shooting happened late Saturday, just before midnight, on Braile Street near Tireman Avenue.
The boy was taken from the home to a hospital, police said, where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
There's no information on what injuries the boy suffered.
No suspects are in custody, and it's unclear if or why the boy's family may have been targeted.
The child's name was not released.
The investigation is ongoing.
