Aircraft with reported landing gear issues makes emergency landing at Selfridge ANGB

MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) - An aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township after its landing gear failed on Wednesday, officials say.

Officials confirmed three people aboard the plane were safe after they reported landing gear failure and circled the airfield a number of times before touching down.

The aircraft was performing a fly by for tower checkout when the emergency landing occurred.

Officials weren't aware if crewmembers were able to get the gear unstuck prior to landing or if they were forced to used other means.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
