DETROIT (WWJ) -- In a major vehicle bust, more than 80 ATVs and dirt bikes were seized on the city's west side.
The Detroit Police Department's Third Precinct Special Operations Unit -- in conjunction with the Commercial Auto Theft Unit and Downtown Services NPO Team -- seized the motor vehicles in the 3500 block of Roosevelt.
In total, 45 vehicles were seized, including 36 ATVs and dirt bikes.
The DPD said they were created a public nuisance and caused a threat to public safety on Detroit's roadways.
The ATVs and dirt bikes also violated the Michigan Motor Vehicle Code, said authorities.
