DETROIT (WWJ) -- Police are hoping a tip from the public will help them to identify a suspect caught on camera, just before he broke into a Detroit home.

Detroit Police said it happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, in the 18900 block of Snowden on the city's west side.

As seen in Ring camera footage released by police, the suspect creeps around the side of the home's detached garage, before sprinting up and covering the camera.

Police said the man broke into the house, stole some "miscellaneous items" and then fled the area on foot.

No one was home at the time of the break-in.
