SPRINGFIELD TWP (WWJ) -- A 67-year-old Clarkston woman was fatally hit by a pickup truck while walking along a rural road.
Just after 11 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Margaret Anne Tippen was walking on Kier Rd, west of Ellis Rd in Springfield Township.
She was struck by a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and died at the scene.
The 24-year-old driver, a man from Adrian, was not injured.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is still investigating. So far, there is no sign that alcohol or drugs played a part in the tragic crash.
