A barricaded suspect was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after an hours-long standoff in Clawson and shootings of the man's stepdaughter and a neighbor.
The 15-year-old girl was reported in critical condition until Monday morning, when police revealed she had died at the hospital.
"It's a very sad situation," WWJ's Charlie Langton reported.
The situation unfolded around 2:30 Sunday afternoon at a home on 14 Mile Road, near Washington Avenue.
Officers were called to the scene where they found a teenage girl who had been shot by her stepfather. She was transported to a hospital, initially in critical condition. A neighbor had also been shot and was rushed to a hospital.
The suspect fled from the neighbor's house and barricaded himself inside his own home. Oakland County SWAT and negotiators were later called to the scene. After several hours of no communication, officers used a drone to find the suspect dead inside.
