DETROIT (WWJ) – Police say a Detroit man who went missing after being discharged from a local hospital earlier this week has been found.
Duane Gustafson left the hospital around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, but failed to return to his home on Goulburn Avenue, south of State Fair Avenue, according to Detroit Police.
Authorities did not say which hospital Gustafson was at, but he left wearing a black jacket, blue hospital pants and black and white shoes.
There were concerns for his well-being as Gustafson lives with from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, according to his caregiver.
Police issued an update on Wednesday, saying Gustafson has been recovered and is doing fine. No further information was released.
