(WWJ) There's good news in the case of a Northern Michigan man reported missing earlier this week.
Michigan State Police had asked for tips to help find Matthew Chobany of Carp Lake, who disappeared after telling people he was taking a road trip with a woman he'd met online.
Chobany, 55, was reported last seen on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
According to MSP, Chobany said he was going to Mio, Michigan — about 100 miles south of Carp Lake — with an unknown woman he'd met on the internet.
When family members didn't see or hear from him for more than a week, and couldn't get in touch with him on his cell phone, they got worried and called police.
MSP issued an update in the case on Wednesday, saying that Chobany had returned home safely.
No further information was released.
