DETROIT (WWJ) – Police in Detroit are searching for answers after a shooting near Eastern Market late Saturday night left one man dead and another hospitalized.
Police officials said the shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the area of Russell and Alfred, near Sheds 4 and 5 in Eastern Market.
Circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
Authorities have not released any information about either victim, but one man was said to be in stable condition Sunday afternoon after he was privately taken to the hospital.
Police officials said that victim was being uncooperative with investigators.
Authorities have not released a description of a possible suspect.
The shooting reportedly happened around the time an event at Bert's Warehouse Theater was letting out and those in attendance were frustrated they couldn't get to their vehicles due to the investigation in the area.
