DTE says equipment issues are to blame for power outage in Livonia

A power outage impacting just over a thousand homes was reported by DTE Energy Friday evening.

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - A power outage impacting just over a thousand homes was reported by DTE Energy Friday evening.

The area between 5 Mile Rd and Schoolcraft, just west of Farmington Rd, was affected just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 11.

DTE Energy reports the outage is due to problems with equipment and expects power to be resorted by 10:15 p.m. Friday evening.

As of 8:45 p.m., some 1,168 customers were without power.
