(WWJ) A convicted felon is once again behind bars after a traffic stop Wednesday in Inkster.
According to Michigan State Police, troopers on patrol in Inkster pulled over the man who was driving a car that had been reported stolen.
They detained three occupants of the vehicle, and found a loaded handgun under the driver's seat, police said.
The driver allegedly admitted to knowledge of the stolen vehicle, as well as the pistol, which he is not legally allowed to posses due to his criminal history.
The suspect was lodged at the Inkster Police Department pending prosecutor review of the case. His name and other details, including about his previous crimes, are being withheld pending any charges filed.
In an social media post, MSP Metro Detroit called this bust: "Another example of MSP and Inkster Police working to keep Inkster safe."
