Police: Gunfire breaks out when two people meet man to purchase skates at Detroit gas station

(WWJ) A sale of a pair of skates lead to a deadly double shooting at a Detroit gas station.

Detroit Police say a man, 33, and woman, 41, met the suspect to buy the skates at the BP Gas Station on the corner of Seven Mile and Woodward on Wednesday, around 5:30 p.m.

During the transaction; the suspect, 21, pulled out a gun and opened fire on both of the potential buyers.

The man, 33, was killed at the scene. The woman is hospitalized in unknown condition.

The suspect was arrested in the area of 8 Mile and Woodward.
