DETROIT (WWJ) -- One person is facing charges after Michigan State Police say information from the public led to a drug bust in Detroit.

Following up on anonymous tip, the Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) executed several search warrants in the city on Thursday, MSP said — showing off items recovered during the raids.

Seized during the search warrants were two rifles, two pistols (both stolen, police said), 126 grams of cocaine, 85 grams of crack cocaine and $2,783 in cash.

Police said charges are pending against a Detroit man who has violent criminal history. His name was not immediately released, as he awaits an arraignment in the case.

MNET is a multijurisdictional task force consisting of officers from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Detroit Police, Taylor Police, Allen Park Police, Garden City Police, Van Buren Township Police, the Michigan Department of Corrections and MSP.

The public is urged to help get narcotics and their dealers off the street by leaving a tip with MNET at 734-947-1194. All callers can remain anonymous.
