MADISON HEIGHTS (WWJ) – As work continues on the Modernize I-75 project, Metro Detroit drivers will be dealing with another closed exit ramp for the next month.
MDOT officials announced Thursday the northbound I-75 exit ramp to 12 Mile Road will close Monday at 5 a.m. and it’s expected to remain closed until late February.
The ramp will be closed as crews work to install the foundations for a soundwall along the freeway.
Traffic will be able to use the NB I-75 exit ramp to 11 Mile and John R. Roads to access 12 Mile during the closure.
The southbound I-75 ramp to I-696 will have just one ramp open until late February, while the 11 Mile ramps to and from SB I-75 will remain closed until fall 2023.
