CLINTON TWP. (WWJ) – A Macomb County middle school was briefly placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a student sent an inappropriate meme to a teacher.

While there was no threat made, Wyandot Middle School, on Garfield Road near 17 Mile Road, was placed on lockdown after the meme was sent during third hour, a school spokesperson confirmed to WWJ.

A student air dropped an inappropriate meme to the teacher. The spokesperson said the meme involved “Toy Story,” but did not specify exactly what it said.

The school was placed on lockdown so staff could investigate the incident. Staff members talked with the class and interviewed students.

It was not immediately clear if staff found the student who sent the meme or whether they will be facing any discipline.

This was one of two incidents involved airdropped messages that led to lockdowns at Macomb County middle schools on Wednesday. In the other case, at Center Line's Wolfe Middle School, officials said a student was removed from the school by police after sending a threatening message to classmates.
