LAPEER, Mich. (WWJ) -- A Lapeer man is facing possible prison time after being busted with child sexually abusive material.
Officials with the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force say 31-year-old Zachary James Ruddock is in police custody.

Ruddock has been charged with six counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
Investigators seized digital evidence from Ruddock’s home after learning he had been viewing the explicit material on the internet.
He was arraigned in 71-A District Court on Monday.
State police are encouraging parents to speak with their children about the safe use of the internet.
MSP says there are many resources available to assist in keeping children safe online, including a comprehensive list of resources from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
