The little bit of snow that sprinkled metro Detroit caused havoc on local roadways, with Michigan State Police saying over the past two days they responded to dozens of accidents, including incidents where two patrol cars were hit overnight.

Overall, troopers responded to 65 crashes so far today.

That's in addition to more than 100 crashes that were reported on Wednesday night and Thursday. No serious injuries reported. Along with the crashes, two drunk drivers were arrested.

In one of the crashes, a patrol car was struck at about 8:25 p.m. Thursday on eastbound I-94 near I-275. A trooper was in his patrol car with the emergency lights activated when a second driver, lost control and hit the left rear of his patrol car.

"She continued down the guardrail and stuck a second civilian vehicle," MSP tweeted. "Fortunately, no one was hurt. Please remember to slow down and move over when you see emergency vehicles."

Overall, MSP described it as a "very busy 24 hours for troopers in the district."

"They handled 103 traffic crashes and four impaired drivers," an MSP spokesman tweeted. "And this doesn't include all the slide offs and other calls for services in our townships."
