LIVOINA (WWJ) -- A Detroit man has been charged with attempted murder in a double shooting at a Livonia pool hall on Sunday.
According to Livonia Police, officers responded to 911 calls at around 1:20 a.m. on Nov. 3, to find the first victim near the front entrance to Snookers' Pool and Pub, on Schoolcraft Road.
The 36-year0old Detroit man was taken by EMS to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his back, police said.
Officers then found the alleged shooter, 25-year-old Kamari Parham, inside the business and arrested him without incident.
A short time later, a second victim, identified as a 31-year old Detroit man, was found by officers nearby at the nearby Holiday Inn on Schoolcraft Rd. He was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg, police said.
Police said an investigation found that Parham was involved in "an altercation" with the two victims before he drew and handgun and shot them both.
Parham is currently in jail on a $1 million bond, charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, along with felony weapons charges.
He was arraigned in 16th District Court and is scheduled to again appear in court for a preliminary exam on Nov. 14.
