A 37-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly making threats on social media that targeted the Monroe County Sheriff's Department.
Police say the Gaylord man posted that he would harm the agency and blow up its building if they did not send someone to arrest him by Jan. 13.
He countered that with a follow-up that allegedly claimed he would kill anyone who tried to arrest him for any reason.
He noted on Facebook, police said, that his words "should be considered a terrorist threat."
Investigators intervened, saying the man was upset about an upcoming Friend of the Court hearing. He's currently in Otsego County jail awaiting charges as the investigation plays out.
